How quickly can care start?

After a free home assessment, care usually begins within a few days. In urgent situations, such as hospital discharge or a family emergency, we can often move faster, sometimes within 24 to 48 hours.

Are your carers vetted and trained?

Yes. Every carer is enhanced-DBS checked, referenced, fully insured and trained before their first visit, with ongoing training in areas such as medication, moving and handling, and dementia support. Crossways is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

How much does home care cost?

Cost depends on how often we visit, how long each visit lasts, and the level of support you need. Rather than publish a one-size-fits-all rate, we visit you at home, understand what would genuinely help, and give you a clear written quote with no obligation.

Will the council pay for my care?

It depends on a needs assessment and a financial assessment, both arranged through your local authority. Some people are fully funded, some are part funded, and some pay privately. We support direct payments and private arrangements, and we are happy to help you work out where you are likely to land.

Any time. Care plans are reviewed regularly and adjusted whenever needs change, whether that means more visits, fewer, or a different kind of support. You are never locked in.
